Hi, I’m Georgia.

I’m a Bristol-based Creative, Strategist and English Teacher who believes that the world needs true creativity, good stories and genuine connection.

Over the years, I have worn many hats and been on many adventures…

Chapter 1. The beret
I first sported a beret living in France, learning the art of the protest, sampling nice cheese and teaching English Language in a French collège... magnifique! Then, I travelled back to the UK to finish my BA Degree in English & French at Southampton University.

Chapter 2. The business-suit
After graduating, I moved into Advertising, the promised land of creativity. I spent 5 years as a Brand Strategist and Planner at Indie Agencies, navigating the best way through the jungle and persuading people to follow. I loved the creative collaboration, empathetic insights and writing craft, but unknowingly walked into a stinky swamp which I knew I’d have to escape. Fleeing from the open jaws of an angry crocodile, I continued my adventures in search of a kinder climate…

Chapter 3. The blazer
Buoyed by books - as an avid reader and Literature nut - I took a brave leap and jumped headfirst into Secondary English Teaching, earning a ‘Distinction’ in my PGCE at Bristol University.

I gained experience across KS3-5, teaching up to 12 classes at any one time, which skyrocketed my awareness of diversity and inclusion best-practise. I honed effective communication and learning strategies for SEN, EAL and PP students, swotted up on content sequencing, assessment for learning, safeguarding and behaviour management best-practise. Crunching the numbers, that involved meeting the needs of 360 pupils every fortnight, doing 5 x presentations a day - approximately 684 a year on average - (all whilst being heckled at least half of the time!)

I spent 4 years feasting on a diet of Literature, Earl Grey and insanely organised meal-prep to fuel the 60 hour weeks and late-night marking stints, sharing stories and expanding the minds of my Alevel Literature legends. But, with increased funding cuts, work pressures and increasing disillusionment at how school environments were leaving students feeling under-confident and frazzled, I decided to move on in search of a more peaceful and nurturing camp…

I am currently freelancing in Strategy and tutoring English in Bristol, getting stuck into some gardening, wellbeing writing and creative pursuits.

It’s time for a new adventure!
